Vancouver Island is 32,134 square kilometers, the population on this island is around 750,000.

There are forest trails all over this Island, since we started hiking we've checked out at least thirty different trails on this island and each one has been unique and interesting in its own way. Each hike is an adventure.

We fell in love on this island and have learned that in all cases and scenarios, Mid-Isle is the most perfect place to live, especially if you like nature.

  • The Beach
  • The Mountains
  • The Glacial Lakes
  • The Ancient Forests
  • The Pacific Northwest Climate
We are both Canadian and in our thirties, Jeff from Southern Ontario, Karen is from Calgary Alberta, we both moved to Vancouver Island . We have no children, just our dog Archer and some other pets.

We've always liked Vancouver Island, but since we started hiking every weekend we've discovered a new found appreciation of the Island. We'd like to share the trails we've found online, because from what we discovered there is very little information about Island trails, and maybe these little GPS generated maps will help somebody down the road.

We're also told that our dog is very photogenic, we use a smartphone camera for all the pictures, and with my non-artistic eye we think some of the pictures turn out pretty good.

Other stuff we like about the Island
  • The country drives that make you feel you are in a car commercial
  • The Goats on the roof
  • Patio drinks
  • QB is the Perfect amount of distance to Victoria
  • The campfires
